My mother and I are watching Dr.OZ and they're saying obesity is a form of child abuse. Now, this is how I look at it. If your child is six years old and 165 Ibs. the parents have the power, because you have control of what your kids eat and in the end you're hurting the child's body and self esteem. I know some parents say they don't want to say no to their children but I rather tell my child no than have them get picked on at school, getting called names like; "fat ass", "fatty", "lard ass", etc. I do feel like it is unfair to the child. I'm not telling people to starve their children but just don't over indulge them. I hope more parents can be educated on what to do to help their children and bring down statistics.
